If you’re a current member of Picfair, you may have noticed some changes to Picfair Stores and some new additions to your Picfair Dashboard. Namely, the addition of Picfair Themes.
Here’s what it all means for you and your Picfair Store…
What's changed with Picfair Stores?
There’s been a significant upgrade to Picfair Stores in the form of Picfair Themes, where we’ve added a range of stylish, sleek and contemporary new themes for photographer stores.
Our resident design and photography experts here at Picfair have put together these new Picfair Themes to make your store (and your photos) look spectacular without you having to worry about any of the design elements yourself.

What does the new Picfair Themes feature mean for my current Picfair Store?

With the addition of Picfair Themes, it means that now, you can select a brand new pre-built custom theme for your store or use your Classic Custom Theme (your Classic Custom Theme is how your Picfair Store looked before the upgrade) from your Picfair Dashboard.
Also, we’ve completely redesigned the ‘About’ page for your Picfair Store. It’s more sleek and contemporary looking, where you can add your photographer image that will display at a larger size, along with the option to add more text in the about you section. Which we highly recommend as customers and visitors to your store love know more about the person behind the camera.
You’ll see an update to the checkout page with a new design that makes it easier for customers to purchase your images as prints and downloads!
We've also updated the navigation across Picfair Stores with new, stylish icons and a redesigned menu look. It fits in beautifully with whichever Picfair Theme you choose for your Picfair Store.
What are the benefits of upgrading to a new Picfair Theme?
As mentioned above, we’ve designed all of the Picfair Themes - the fonts, colours, and layouts - with your photography in mind, and what we mean by this is we’ve specifically put these Picfair Themes together to give your images a home in a setting we know will look fantastic!
So, if you switch to a Picfair Theme, you know your pictures will display in a layout that’s on-trend, in a sleek contemporary design intended to amplify the visual appeal of your images, and ultimately will give your Store visitors and customers a great experience.
Has the look of my current Picfair Store been changed?
No, your previously made Picfair Store has not been changed, and is saved automatically as your Classic Custom Theme.
Your Classic Custom Theme includes the font type and size you had previously set for your Picfair Store, the background and text colour of your Picfair Store, and the format you put your images to display at (square, rows, full screen, etc). If you added a photographer pic for your About page, this hasn’t been changed either.
Also, you’ll see that your photographer's name (or logo, should you have added one) remains the same and centralised on the page (whereas in the new themes, names and custom logos sit to the left of the store layout).
The only minor changes made to all Classic Custom Themes are a few upgraded stylistic elements in the menu, such as the store menu font and basket icon–a significant improvement from what we had before and one that doesn’t affect any of your previous customizations!
Can I still return to my 'Classic Theme’ after upgrading?
Yes, you can!
Your Classic Custom Theme will always be available to select from the Themes Carousel on your Picfair Dashboard under ‘YOUR STORE’ > ‘THEME & LAYOUT’ > CHOOSE THEME'.
So, should you ever wish to change back to your Classic theme after trying out the pre-built Picfair Themes, you can do so in a single step!
Can I still edit my ‘Classic' store?
Yes, you can. But with a couple of exceptions...
You can continue to edit the image layout (square, rows and fullscreen) alongside your store's font (by selecting the 'Change Store Title Design', screenshot below), or choose to display a custom logo with your Classic Custom Theme.
However, the text and background colours are now ‘locked in’ on your Classic Theme and cannot be further edited.
