Anete is a professional photographer, journalist, and writer for businesses worldwide. After several years of running a wedding photography business, she decided to close that chapter and turn her focus toward lifestyle, particularly for other freelancers, and personal photography. Having worked with brands like Pexels, Canva, and Google Chrome, Anete has always enjoyed the mix of branding, lifestyle, and photography. Her personal work touches on documentary projects, street photography, self-portraits, and artistic interpretation of everyday life moments. Most, if not all, projects are eventually turned into digital or print books. Some of these projects have also been exhibited.
Today, Anete's work as a creative professional spans several genres and industries. From curating photography content in collaboration with Flipboard to offering mentorship to beginners and writing business content for brands in the photography industry, the term "photographer" has evolved from what it used to be. Her experience in journalism (like covering news, launches, and interviews on PetaPixel) helps Anete continue using her skills to connect with other photographers, creators, editors, businesses, and organizations — all of which keep her engaged in recent trends and conversations. Some of her photography experiences and tips, Anete also shares on her YouTube channel.
These days, Anete spends most of her time building her writing business and working on her personal projects and images, some of which have been shared in FujiLove Magazine and Black+White Photography magazine. The recent street photography trips have taken Anete to France, Croatia, and Malta, with plenty of destinations planned for 2023 and ahead.
Anete holds a Bachelor's (BA) Degree in History and Criminology from Sheffield Hallam University. Her interest in social topics has transitioned from formal education to documentary photography work. She has also recently graduated with a beginner's diploma in coding basics and will start an advanced course early in 2023 to continue exploring the intersection of art and technology.
